Rick Warren Comments on the History Channel's "The Bible"

"I have seen probably every film made on the Bible in the last 50 years. This is by far the best one."

Yep.. There is Rick, (the self-proclaimed expert on everything,) commenting on the History Channel's Miniseries, the one he lays claim to being an integral part of during it's production.  He's tooting his own horn again. Apparently he has probably seen "every" film made on the Bible in the last 50 years and this one is the best ever.
to go with it for your church to use.   It is being promoted profusely by the media, especially to church "leaders' everywhere.

Apparently, to Rick, being the best one "by far" does not equate
to being true to the authentic scriptural accounts.    People who are paying attention know a lot of it is nothing more than false theology and
outright contrary to orthodox Christian doctrine.

"Thank you" to  Chris Roseborough  (and others,) for faithfully watching
the series and commenting on it in light of scripture.
You may click on Roseborough's name above to listen to
his production on part three of the mini-series.
You can hear more of his comparative commentaries
on the miniseries at his website,
fightingforthefaith.com.

Endorsing the min-series, Rick says, it's quite an effective tool for "outrreach" to people who don't know Jesus....

“The key to its effectiveness is that it lets the Bible speak for itself, without commentary, excuse or qualification, which makes it unique. This is living history at its best!”

Ummmm.... please note, there is narration throughout the film.
This would, in fact, be "commentary."
